Friday night, 26th of May 2006: the packed theatre of the Sesc Pompéia was paying close attention to the concert of Giana on the occasion of the release of her new CD “4321”. Accompanied by her band with musical director and guitarrist Michael Ruzitschka, Fábio Torres (piano), Márcio Arantes (bass) and Sérginho Machado (drums) she also received MPB hero Chico César as a special guest.
The repertory of the night consisted of songs from the CDs “4321” and “Tinge” (Giana´s first album) as well as new interpretations of some Brazilian classics: “Fotografia” (A.C. Jobim), “Cantando no Toró“ (Chico Buarque) and “Doralice“ (Dorival Caymmi). Together with Chico César she performed besides “Deslumbrada Lua” (a song of “4321” which was co-written with him) the original “Drible” by Chico, a composition which he was singing a couple of days later at the opening party of the Soccer World Cup 2006 in Berlin in Germany.
Mangericão Filmes was filming the concert, the result can be seen on the website soon.
